Yeast as an ant killer
|
|
Ants can create trouble but at the same time they can lift 50 times and pull 30 times their own weight. Nobody wants them in the house, biting or farming the insects of their choice on plants. Ants themselves don’t do much damage to the plants; however they protect and farm herds of aphids, cottony scales, mealy bugs, soft-type scales and whiteflies. Ants save the eggs of these insects in their nests over the winter and bring them out in the spring. These insects produce honeydew while feeding on the plants, which the ants just love.
Yeast recipes to kill ant
Use the smallest jar of molasses available and add 1 packet of yeast to it. The batches will last four to six weeks if it stays cool. It will also attract brown crickets that get pickled in the mixture. Try to keep out of child reach. It is not poisonous but better to be careful. Another process to kill all ants was to mix 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of baking yeast and 1/2 cup of molasses, spread this mixture onto index cards and place the cards out to trap the ants in the sticky mess. Watching ants die slowly while stuck to an index card was not the idea of fun and didn’t get the ants in the nest. Start with the process and keep concentration and wait three days. If no ants appear after that time, then this is good way and it worked. If there are still a lot of ants, increase the amount of yeast in the formula and try again. If there is a big ant colony, then probably use cups maybe.
Non-poisonous way to kill ants
Add yeast powder and then just mix it up real well. Once mixed its ready to work against those ants. Now normally this is a formula that attracts sugar ants, so it is better to use it inside, but normally ants are not finding inside the house. Just drip a little of yeast on a card, and then put it down where the ants will be attracted to it.
