The clothes that we wear get stained due to some reason or the other. Our clothes also get stained due to blood. There are also some protein stains that are same as that of blood stains. For such types of stains it is essential that the stains are acted upon immediately as soon as they are stained. The more time you take to clear the stain the more it will be difficult for you to clear the stain.

Whenever you have to clean the blood stain you should always clear it with cold water rather than hot water. Hot water should never be applied to the blood stains because the stains become more permanent in hot water because of the heat from hot water.

There are some household remedies that can help you to clean the blood stains. What you have to do is apply the stain with lemon, or bleach and salt solution. This can help the stain to loosen from the fabric. If the stain is fresh you have to soak the cloth in cold water for half hour. After that launder the cloth immediately. Repeat the procedure till the stain is completely removed.

If in case the blood stain is old stain, initially soak the cloth in warm water along with the enzymatic cleaner. Soak the cloth for at least one hour. In case of larger blood stains you should try to remove the blood to the maximum before laundering the cloth.

You can use hydrogen peroxide to remove the blood stains. Peroxide can sometimes cause color fading of the cloth. So before applying hydrogen peroxide to the cloth it is advised that the experiment of hydrogen peroxide to remove the stain on the cloth should be done only at a small part of the clothing. The fresh blood stains are easily cleared in one or two washes. When the stain is old one the stain takes some time to get cleared.

The blood stains are also sometimes cleared with shampoo. When you use a shampoo to clear the stain apply it on the stain and rub it on it for some time. Shampoo is generally used when people do not have hydrogen peroxide at home. The regular shampoo works better to remove the stain as compared to the shampoo with conditioner.

When the blood stain is a fresh one it can be immediately cleared. If the blood stain is old one a lot of scrubbing is needed and also some amount of water is needed to gather lather on the cloth.

These are some of the methods that are used to clean the blood stains from clothes.
